Dubai– We recently had the fortunate opportunity to visit Dubai for a “Girl’s Getaway” vacation that was prompted by an amazing fare sale that Emirates airline promoted last December. When one thinks of Dubai, images of gold-gilded everything, world-class shopping and dining, and six-figure supercars come to mind. Overwhelmed by an endless supply of five-star accommodations to choose from, we were ecstatic to discover the uber-luxurious and sparkling-new Palazzo Versace Dubai hotel.
Less than 15 minutes away from Dubai International Airport and eight minutes away from the landmark Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai, Palazzo Versace Dubai is located along the shores of the historic Dubai Creek in the heart of the developing Culture Village. Reminiscent of a 16th century Italian palace, Palazzo Versace Dubai is Neoclassical in design with a subtle nod to Arabian architecture. The breathtaking entrance overlooks the lushly landscaped gardens and features high ceilings decorated with Murano glass masterpieces, opulent Italian furnishings, a baby grand piano and Carrara marble floors intermixed with intricately laid mosaic tiles. The iconic House of Versace exclusively created every single piece of furniture and fabric that decorates the hotel’s 215 rooms and suites.
The Versace Palazzo Dubai hotel offers seven lodging options for the luxury oriented leisure traveler: Deluxe Rooms that are spacious and bright, combining fine Italian workmanship with everyday functionality; Premier Rooms that occupy the higher floors offering a terrace or balcony; Executive Suites that are both elegant and comfortable designed with the modern day business traveler in mind; Grand Executive Suites that are more spacious than the Executive Suites; Grand Suites for the luxury traveler who requires more room featuring a spacious living room that includes a dining area and a separate bedroom complete with a dressing area and a walk-in closet; Signature Suites which measure 214 sqm featuring large windows and impeccable furnishings; and Imperial Suites which are located on the highest floor, possessing a total area of 1,200 sqm and 180 degree views of the Dubai Creek.
Aside for shopping excursions and site seeing, one needn’t ever leave the Palazzo Versace Dubai hotel, as there are eight curated dining and lounge options to suit the most discerning individual. Enjoy Afternoon Tea or an elegant lunch at Mosaico, located at the heart of the hotel overlooking the lagoon pools and landscaped gardens. Become enchanted with Vanitas restaurant’s Chef De Cuisine Andrea Gaia’s inventive, seafood based creations that have an Italian flair. Learn the true meaning of “ephemeral dining” at avant-garde Enigma. Imbibe in post or pre-dinner libations in a glamorous lounge setting at La Vita. Stuff yourself at brunch in the casually refined Giardino restaurant, which also offers lunch and dinner. Fancy a traditional shisa lounge? Head over to Gazebo where you can sample a selection of Moroccan, Turkish and Lebanese mezze in a relaxed al fresco setting. Opening in September 2016, guests of the Palazzo Versace Dubai hotel can savor authentic Italian fare poolside at Amalfi restaurant and afterwards head over to music legend Quincy Jones’ first ever bar, Q’s, which is slated to become Dubai’s most intimate lounge and supper club featuring the best in live music with an ever-changing schedule of artists.
