Virgin Galactic, the world’s first spaceline, offers you the groundbreaking opportunity to reach for the stars. Operating its own privately built spaceships, modeled on the history-making SpaceShipOne, voyagers train then depart on the journey of a lifetime.
Combining Virgin’s flair for luxury travel and cutting-edge design with unique technology developed by Burt Rutan, these close encounters of the first kind will surely be an experience like no other. Rutan and his team are currently at work on the spacecraft at his base in Mojave, California. “The deal with Mojave Aerospace Ventures is just the start of what we believe will be a new era in the history of mankind, one day making the affordable exploration of space by human beings a real possibility,” says Richard Branson, owner of the Virgin Group.
Passengers will be required to participate in three days of pre-flight preparation, bonding and training onsite at the spaceport. As safety is a must, flyers will also need to undergo medical assessment to show good health.
Branson says that there’s no official launch date, due to the revolutionary nature of the project. Once it’s determined the flight program is safe and successful, commercial operations should take off in a year. Flights will initially depart from Mojave, before moving to a permanent “Spaceport America” in New Mexico. Let the countdown begin. Flights start at $200,000. For more information, visit
