After meeting in the Environmental Design program at the Art Center College of Design, Glenn Lawson and Grant Fenning teamed up to create “well-crafted, classic, functional pieces that work together or mix well.” In 2002, they debuted a line of upholstered furniture, case goods and accessories at ICFF in New York. Their contemporary pieces, from seating and tables to bed frames and lamps, offer a retro, mid-century feel with a completely original bent. They use only the highest quality materials and sustainable woods. Most of their woods are available completely “green”, either as recycled or fallen wood, upon request. In addition, the Los Angeles-based duo are purveyors of a well-curated line of vintage 20th century furniture.
From their recent collection, the Bel-Air Chair (pictured) is stylish, functional and elegant. It comes with a solid walnut frame in either a lacquered or stained finish. The cushioned seating can be upholstered in a variety of fine fabrics. Roomy and comfortable, the chair would make a welcome addition to the modern living room.
