Santa Monica, CA–  Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows  has so many new and exciting offerings that Luxlife Magazine has chosen to feature the property for our November edition.  With an enviable location at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Ocean Avenue, the property recently enlisted the talents of Interior Designer Lynda Murray to offer guests a distinct residential atmosphere inspired by Santa Monica culture and lifestyle.

Lynda Murray, a native Angeleno,  is one of the most sought-after residential designers in the country and her vision for the re-styled suites classically embodies the eclectic and casual elegance of Santa Monica and Southern California.  “We’re thrilled to offer our guests the opportunity to experience a new, more residential Santa Monica accommodation,” says General Manager Wolfgang Jonas. “Lynda Murray is the ultimate contemporary Los Angeles designer who can capture the feel and style of Santa Monica and to provide our guests with such a special sense of place.”  The new suites are an ideal choice for business travelers, who are looking for accommodations that are conducive to work, relaxing and intimate gatherings.

The Palisades Suite, a 785 square-foot newly-designed suite is the first of the new series, and offers comforting views of the Pacific Ocean and is fashioned with Los Angeles themed artwork, including an iconic black and white Henry Diltz photograph of The Doors strolling along Venice Beach.  Additional artwork includes black and white photos of the Santa Monica pier, surfers in Malibu and Santa Monica Beach, as well as a sculpture created out of locally-collected driftwood and moss.  Rounding out the  design elements are gorgeous, hickory hardwood floors, a contemporary candelabra chandelier, custom-designed velvet wing back bed, zinc distressed metal night stands, a steel and reclaimed wood coffee table and a glass and metal desk that transitions from workspace to dining table. The suite also includes a wet bar equipped with classic 1920s-inspired cocktail recipes and a retro espresso coffee maker.

Tech geeks have no fear, you can accomplish plenty of work in your serene environment thanks to the hotels’ partnership with Santa Monica’s Fiber-optic CityNet, offering premium wired and wireless internet access to its guests combining cutting edge living with cutting edge technology, a signature of “Silicon Beach.”
